Let’s Clean Up Our Food Supply…

The Adventure We’re Ready For Is the One We’re On!

What a time to be alive and to be part of the solution. As a global family we are on the cutting edge of destruction or reparation. Only as the individual changes, the world changes too. Which way the spiral goes is indeed in our own hands.

The virus is sending us home, with stay at home orders, in front of the refrigerator. And yet, our government isn’t concerned about the toxic items they’ve approved that might be inside the fridge. Something’s fishy; this is not the time to go to sleep. We are all on this planet together for a reason.

It is our moral responsibility to share our revelations
The shutdown is our opportunity to transform our collective consciousness. When something entirely new to us, (such as a pandemic) is leaving us grasping for what to do, I’m reminded of the wisdom of the renowned mythologist, Joseph Campbell. He taught that throughout life we are always at one stage or another of the hero’s journey. The body functions best on organic food. Ayurveda, is very clear, as was Hippocrates, that food is our medicine.

People with a weakened immune system are always more likely to get sick. The virus will attack and feed off anyone with compromised immunity. What makes us think the government cares about our health when an array of disease-causing, weight-promoting ingredients are being approved on our watch? Old structures are failing us. We need to do our own research and stop acquiescing to poisoning ourselves with unhealthy ingredients.

The genetically modified seeds and toxic chemicals some farmers use, are being subsidized by our government. Toxic herbicides are still being sprayed on hundreds of U.S. agricultural crops that have already been banned in Europe. Herbicides cannot be removed through washing or cooking. Americans weight more on average than Europeans. Certain manufacturers add ingredients to their products known to create ill health. This makes me wonder whether our “health care system” cares more about their profit or our health. Good nutrition brings clarity of mind, and awareness about what’s happening right in front of our eyes.

We understand the problem, and we know the solution
Local, seasonal, organic food leads to a healthy immune system. “All major challenges,” Campbell explained, are ‘leaps of faith’ into unknown realms to meet powers we need to embrace, or overcome, and when life seems most challenging, opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come”. Knowing what’s good for you is your birthright.

Pay attention to your own common-sense, Intelligence within. Body wisdom was downloaded inside each of us at birth. Avoid GMO. Drink plenty filtered or spring water. Avoid packaged foods with unhealthy additives and preservatives. Use essential oils in your home. Stop using toxic cosmetics, and household cleaners. Obviously don’t smoke, and it’s better not to drink excessive amounts of alcohol or caffeine. The power is with the people.

Take organic supplements made from organic foods. Stop watering the lawn, start watering a vegetable garden. Get moderate amounts of exercise, daily. We are part of the discerning, persistent, and tenacious group that knows what we want and what we need from the government, food growers, and manufacturers.

Read labels, and get to the place where code words can’t fool you
Merely purchasing whatever looks appealing on the shelf is unconscious consumption. Becoming a conscious consumer takes learning the meaning of code words. I have a new book coming out that demonstrates how to write Your Food Story. Author your own diet, eat well and create your healthy weight, despite scientific technological advances. It also lists and explains the code words used to fool us. (Out of the 600,000 food items in an average grocery store, 80 percent contain added sugar.) There is power and strength in numbers, and we know what to do. We were made for these times. The Dawn of a new apocalypse is here; a promising new beginning has begun. The last chapter of the weight loss book I just completed is dedicated to creating “Our Global Food Plan”. If you’ve signed up for my newsletter, I’ll notify you when the book is released.

Just because a product has been approved by the FDA doesn’t mean it’s healthy
If we don’t buy a product, manufacturers stop producing it. Campbell taught that the most courageous of all acts is to understand our truth, and to follow our bliss. Simply because we are living on the planet at this time, we have a responsibility to ourselves and future generations to plant healthy food. Get sunshine. Sop polluting our oceans. We know which kinds of energy are cleaner. We know to stop using plastic and paper bags, plastic straws, wire twisters, plastic clips that are being eaten by the fish we’re eating. We know which additives and preservatives to leave out of products. We know how to recycle, and compost. We are either going to become a society of overfed, undernourished, unconscious consumers, or an enlightened species who creates a restructuring of our global habits—which includes voting with our food dollars.

We know how to be healthy vegans or vegetarians. We know how to save billions of animals a year that are factory farmed, and even how to end world hunger. We know how to create beneficial livestock programs, and farming practices that regenerate soil health.

Monocropping, planting a single species over a large area of land repeatedly depletes soil. We know how and why permaculture practices create self-sustaining ecosystems. These are big decisions and we don’t have to all agree. But if we expect to clean up our food supply, we do need to become conscious and vote consciously. Authoring your own diet is not a one-size-fits-all decision.

I see a new world coming forth
If you were guaranteed success, describe the aftermath of this pandemic. What is it that you want to do to reclaim a healthy food supply? Reevaluate the videos you’re sharing, the words you’re speaking, and the media messages you’re consuming. The efficacy and safety of everything going into our soil or being sprayed on our food needs to be reviewed by scientists not getting paid to conduct the experiments. It’s never been easier to connect, share, and bring people together.

Voice your informed choices through the Internet and your social media connections
What if we found a new clarity, believed it, and saw ourselves as victors? The Kabbalah, the ancient Jewish tradition says that when one percent of the population comes together and votes collectively change happens. When you change your perspective, you change your mind. When you change your mind, you change your choices. When you change your choices, you change your habits and approach to food. The collective food story we tell today will be the food story we live tomorrow.

The power really is with the people
It’s up to each and every one of us to use the power of our food dollar to clean up our food supply. We evolve to a higher frequency by changing the food, health, and weight conversation: insight by insight, word by word, and bite by bite. As a global nutritionist, weight-loss mentor, and consumers’ reporter, I will continue to relay the nutritional state of affairs succinctly and accurately.

My mantra for all of us is: the best is yet to come. Please join me by making it happen!

Love,
Cheryl
